The only place I've encountered it is on the sniper rifle in Killzone. Didn't much care for it, especially since it meant I couldn't use my Max Shooter (mouse adapter) with the game.

As for keeping players separate...I believe Valve has claimed that they're going to have Half-Life 2 players on the Xbox 360 playing against those on PC. I'm interested to see if they can overcome the controls issue, or if the PC players end up dominating.Hans Dannikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16040498215684270130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32147033.post-12057211181526833252007-05-03T11:59:00.000-07:002007-05-03T11:59:00.000-07:00Hi Hans, this is Jake from The Game Chair. This in-the-box aim combined with out-of-the-box turning can be found in the 360's Lost Planet and the WII's Call of Duty 3 for a couple examples. In both cases I was extremely disoriented.

Unfortunately, I don't have a laptop with a trackpoint on it to test out your theory. Sounds plausible though. I don't recommend trying to play an FPS with a touch pad :(

On a happier note, as long as we keep console and PC players separate, the current slapdash solutions are good enough to create enjoyable experiences for all.Jacob.Pedersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00030774466984133514noreply@blogger.com
